WHERE WE ARE

Gurro is a small village located in the upper Cannobina Valley, located between Ossola and Verbano and bordering Canton Ticino.
Easily reached from Cannobio (16 km), arriving from Lake Maggiore, or from Malesco (18 km), if you arrive from the nearby Vigezzo Valley.
The village of Gurro represents the customs and the popular culture of the entire Cannobina Valley, with an old historic center, old stone houses and large wooden lodges, narrow streets through the entire town.
The center of the old borough is the location of the Ethnographic Museum of the Cannobina Valley, a true glimpse into the life of the past.
Clothes, textiles, toys, pottery and numerous wooden-made work tools testify to a mainly rural and agricultural civilization.
As Gurro is a town well known throughout the area for hemp and wool processing, traditional spinning tools, weaving loom and combing tools are present in the museum.
